about

Always a good live track. In it's studio guise here it still cuts through all these many years later. The song touches on perhaps a sleeping princess who maybe have penchant for going all Medusa like when faced with the wrong suitors. After some Apocalypse,a King in waiting starts the journey to find his heart's desire.

lyrics

Beyond the Veil, only you may stare
Beyond the Veil, only you may dare
For only you can free her,see her
In all her glory
For you bare the mark, hurry your hyness

The way will be dark,to a time to a place
Follow the lines on the spinner's face

Let me take you back 150 moons ago
To the time of the Black Snow
When conquers from another sky
Laid waste to this mighty land

Plagues and floods,Rivers of blood
Lamed crumbling cities
Lord I prayed but they had no pity
But it was prophesied that the Phoenix will raise
From the ashes of destruction we found compromise
From the ashes of despair

The flames did bare an infant so fare
Unto us the Princess

For he told us to raise her
For he told us to praise her
And he will only return when it is ordained
To end our suffering and pain

For the Princess desires not gifts from distant shores
She only seeks you though you plough the field
I kneel before you with my sword and my shield
For the princess awaits you in her chamber
